WALKER FIRE AUXILLARY MEETING MINUTES

September 11th          11:20 am

Co Chairs presiding: Jeffery Morhous, Marsha Smades

10 members in attendance

Secretary’s report for the August 14th meeting was read and accepted.

OLD Business

Merchandise Recap. Susan was at the WFPA meeting and couldn’t attend the WFA meeting. Jean Lupa reports that we did do $360 in merchandise sales at the last Pancake breakfast.

Mayoral Race Recap.        There were 13 entries this year. $1,155 last year vs $2,817 this year.

Ice Cream Social Recap.  The Social was a success. Marsha gives kudos to Carol for a great effort and Carol gives kudos to everyone else that helped.

There were 2 jars out one for WFPA with about $700 and one for a District with about $222.

Carol asked Greg to separate the monies just like when they did for a new for truck.

New Business         Toddie and Judy report that they are organizing a Fall Festival for October 16th from 5 to 7 PM. It will be like a pot luck. Would like a band. Contact Marsha for a list of available entertainment. Need tables. Joe Lupa donates two. Judy will email a blurb to Jeffery Morhous to post on the WFA site.

Other new Business:

Jeffery Morhous is resigning as a CoChair for the WFA. He will continue to maintain the Web site and email distribution.

Joe Lupa and Jean Lupa announce their resignation from the WFA and the merchandising effort at the Pancake Breakfasts and other events. Joe cites the need for those weekends coming up to prepare for Winter around his home.

Marsha Smades announces resignation as a committee member for the WFA. She cites not enough interest/ volunteers from the community. We really tried but it is so difficult to continue without community interest and more volunteers.

WFPA Board President John Horvat was invited and attended so he could review the (albeit) dissolution of the WFA.

Judy and Toddie will continue to volunteer and report to and work with the WFPA.
